GRIT Adventures program

In the fall of 2020, I began seeing the dramatic effects the pandemic was having on kid’s mental health. Having experienced profound personal growth through the challenges of participating in endurance events, I knew that adventure racing would be a perfect vehicle for getting kids outdoors to teach them critical mental, emotional and physical resilience. Through a unique mix of team challenges, group discussions, and games, kids navigate in small teams through the woods on their own to apply the crucial life skills of handling stress, conflict, disappointment, and fear in a healthy and productive manner.
